Opening the heart…

And going a little deeper...

The best way to shortcut the neurotic mind is to ask your body and your intuition: “what’s really going on?”

What do I do?

I offer 1:1 coaching and make courses*.

I help autistic + adhd women who mask and people-please come home to themselves and define themselves away from clinical language and societal gaze. For those who want insights from their inner wisdom, building self-care resources, having more fulfilling relationships, personal and professional lives, discovering ways to be themselves and starting/continuing with meaningful projects creative and otherwise.

I offer therapeutic somatic coaching + therapeutic art facilitation

Trained through Psychosexual Somatics coaching, Women's Inner Leadership coaching, Expressive Art Facilitation through the Visionary Art Therapy Program and MBCT with The Mindful Road with accreditation from the Association of Coaching.

Models/modalities from coaching training used in sessions:

  • Trifocal Vision from the Psychosynthesis model for identifying next manageable steps for clients to take

  • Sub-personalities or parts work (mini-characters) for identifying parts of you and integrating what's in the unconscious

  • NARM therapy for exploring core wounds, avoidant behaviours, exploring first and second wave.

  • Right relations for communication and owning parts

  • Somatics - working with feelings and sensations in the body for integrating the unconscious

  • Polyvagal theory and the nervous system

  • Person-centred to meet the client where they are

1:1 therapeutic somatic coaching + expressive arts facilitation

Why therapeutic somatic coaching?

Therapeutic somatic coaching

The modality and how it works:

Exploring sensations in the body, feelings, and more wisdom in the body to help you get to the authentic truth of how you feel about situations in your life so that you can explore what holds you back and move forward with where you would like to be.

Art facilitation or somatic coaching?

With somatic coaching there will be a focus on breathing, grounding, noticing sensations and feelings in your body, movement and talk therapy in relation to the topic or goal you have for the session.

Why expressive art facilitation? What is it?

Expressive art: anger

The modality and how it works:

We explore subconscious material which is stored and retrieved in images. Making art is like looking into a mirror - it will show you what’s inside of you. This will help you get to the authentic truth of how you feel about situations in your life.

Art facilitation or somatic coaching?

We’ll focus on art creation activities that suit any level of art-making; if you’ve not created art before that’s ok, there’s no wrong way to do it. There will also be an exploration of the art you create in relation to the topic or goal you have for the session.

Testimonials for 1:1 online coaching

“Lyndsey held a safe space and is a great listener. She reframed my past experiences beautifully, which allowed me to feel more empowered and present in my life now.”

— Anonymous

“I found myself immediately comfortable, and at ease with Lyndsey, who has the great gift of being (that sometimes fine line of) professional and friendly. Lyndsey was truly great in communication - during the sessions I appreciated the questions (asking), felt heard (listening), and understood (clarifying). I also felt extremely well guided by Lyndsey; her holding of the container and checking in throughout - esp. as I dove into some heavy areas - allowed me to explore deeper, and get clarity sooner. Happy to say that working with my trauma [with Lyndsey], was not at all traumatic.”

I’m a therapeutic coach,

If you’re wondering what a therapeutic coach is, keep reading.

To be a therapeutic coach means I have a therapeutic background and an understanding of attachment, an individual’s emotional history and the psychological aspects of the human experience. Unlike psychotherapy, I don’t just work with the mind, but the body too (memory, senses, impressions, images, feelings) in an integrated way, as well as the psychological mechanisms of human beings. I also work with art to access images and intuition in the same way.

I’m trauma-informed, which means I can help you resource yourself. I work with attachment too and traumatic situations, although I’m not a trauma therapist; disclaimer: if you’re looking for full trauma resolution, you would require a mental health practitioner. Rather than resolve your trauma, if it came up, I’d help you resource yourself while we explore together what is trying to emerge.

I’m autistic and/or adhd myself and was professionally identified/diagnosed in 2019 and 2023 respectively.

And the coaching part? Well, that’s the extra cool part of being a therapeutic coach - just like traditional coaching, we’d look together at a single point of focus as defined by you and look for the potential in how you might move forward to enhance your life in this specific way.

Most of all, as a therapeutic coach, I offer you an act of service to listen and be present, to act as the best mirror possible, with loving-kindness, from a place of compassionate listening so that you might move towards that which you desire.

If you’d like to work together, please fill out the “work with me” form, and I’ll reply asap. I look forward to hearing from you.

What does the coaching look like?

“Healing is a function of love. Love is the greatest therapy, and the world needs therapists because the world lacks love. If society had a loving climate, there would be no need.”

— Osho

Neuro regulation

Mindfulness practices

Embodiment/Somatics or Art

Talk work

Breathing/Resourcing

Client-defined positive outcomes

“Much more is possible than through just analysing and diagnosing. Real therapy has to be total. And to feel responsible is essential. The very idea of responsibility will give you freedom, a dignity. An authentic being will come out of it.”

— Osho
